CARE ADVICES
Our creations are entirely handcrafted with care, using only natural textiles. All our dyes are plant-based and fixed onto the fibers with minerals, making them safe for the skin and biodegradable.
Natural dyes are often called “living colors” — just like our skin, which changes with time, they evolve with wear, develop a unique patina, and live alongside you. This is part of what makes botanical dyeing so special and respectful of the environment: every piece is one of a kind.
To help your garment last beautifully over time, here are a few simple care tips:
WASHING
We recommend using a fragrance-free, pH-neutral organic detergent (some “natural” soaps are not always pH-neutral — for example, traditional Marseille soaps can be too acidic or harsh. On the other hand, many 0% baby detergents are ideal).
Avoid all harsh chemicals such as fabric softeners, stain removers, bleach, etc. — they may damage the natural dye and cause discoloration.
For hand washing:
Dilute a small amount of your gentle detergent in warm water (30°C), then wash your piece gently in this soapy water. Wash with similar colors, do not soak for too long, and avoid scrubbing.
For machine washing:
Use a delicate cycle at 30°C with similar colors. Avoid spinning if possible.
DRYING
We advise against drying your naturally dyed piece in direct sunlight, as the sun can fade or alter the colors — it’s often used precisely for whitening fabrics!
Instead, dry your garment in the shade, either flat or hanging. Avoid folding it over a clothesline or drying rack to prevent marks.
STORING YOUR PIECE
We recommend hanging your piece in a wardrobe, away from direct light, ideally on a hanger to let it breathe.
STAINS & WHAT TO AVOID
Avoid all chemical or acidic products that could affect or alter the color, such as some deodorants, vinegar, lemon juice, or alcohol-based products.
If you get a stain, gently soak the entire garment in soapy water and softly massage the fabric. Do not soak for too long.
For greasy stains, sprinkle the spot with terre de Sommières (a natural clay powder), let it sit, then brush gently with a soft-bristled brush.
And if you're wearing a delicate silk piece to dinner, don’t hesitate to drape a small napkin around your neck — it might not be the sexiest look, but your garment will thank you later :)
